About

We are the Kansas City Sorcerous Arts Collective, a small group of experimental magicians working to improve the experience of public ritual and magical instruction in our local community. We have worked together for a decade, leading public rituals and presenting workshops.

We have each spent the last twenty-odd years developing magical expertise, and we are working to share that expertise with all interested practitioners through no-cost and low-cost classes and workshops.

We believe that gatekeeping facilitates abuse.

We are tired of your bullshit.

AUDREY

Audrey has been practicing some form of witchcraft for almost 30 years, and leading public and private rituals in and around the Kansas City area for the last 20. She is fond of divination, chaos magick, trance work, potions, farmers markets, feminism, and vintage cookbooks. She writes intermittently and travels whenever she can.

SEAN PATRICK

Patrick has been practicing magic since the middle 1990s, both privately and as a part of various groups. He is a devotional polytheist with backgrounds in ritual magick and chaos magic and teaches classes on tarot, sigils, and servitors. Patrick writes poetry and short stories and studies new religious movements and conspiracism.

JEFFREY

Jeffrey is a magical jeweler, occult blogger, multidisciplinary artist, and novelist. Xie has been leading public rituals since the early 00s. Xie specializes in bringing a witchcraft vibe to chaos magick, solomonic grimoires, and astrology.

CAREY

Carey is an artist, ritualist, and witch with deep roots in the KC esoteric community. With a background in Hellenic polytheism, Feri and Sabbatic witchcraft, and Hekatean sorcery, Carey loves creating inspiring, empowering ritual experiences that invite everyone to participate. She is a ritualist at Gaia Community and sells jewelry on Etsy under HeartwoodMoonDesigns.

EMILY

Emily has been a practicing witch and a follower of a Pagan path for over 20 years. She led a group for alternative religions at MU, and was tapped into a society recognizing women leaders for her efforts. She joined the Kansas City community in 2013, and has been an organizer for a local Meetup group, and created and ran a digital magazine called The Center Spiral for a couple years. She has an interest in all kinds of arts, crafts, and cooking, and sometimes she writes.

CHARLIE

Charlie has been a practicing witch for over a decade with an “I do what want” attitude. They enjoy experimenting with magical practices both new and ancient. In their free time, they find joy in yoga, fiber arts, music, and writing.

TRISTAN

With 30 years of experience in Paganism, Tristan helped facilitate Heartland Pagan Festival for nearly a decade during its peak attendance years.  He has a Master’s degree in Religious Studies from Harvard University Extension School, and is a member of Gaia Community.
